  • Bring water to a boil before adding your food, this will ensure that the food rehydrates properly and evenly

  • Use recommened amount of water for each recipe you're cooking. Adding too much or too little water can affect the texture and taste of the food.

  • Stir the food well after adding it to the boiling water to ensure that it rehydrates evenly

  • Turn the heat down to a low simmer after food is added to prevent the water from boiling too vigorously, which can cause the food to break apart

  • Stir the food occasionally during cooking to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot or clumping together

  • Monitor the cooking time closely. Overcooking can result in mushy or over hydrated food, while undercooking can leave the food tough and chewy

  • Once the food is cooked, allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving as this will give it time to absorb any excess water
